By Jodie Rocco For Exhibit City News
When you meet Calanit Atia, it's hard to imagine how so much energy can fit into one person. One can't help but be compelled to energize along with her....or else!
Along with this energy comes a sense of responsibility, respect and integrity, everything that Calanit's company, A to Z Events, www.atozevents.com, exudes at any given time. A to Z Events is a Las Vegas-based, full-service event planning and exhibit management company, specializing in the tradeshow industry. The company provides personalized and customized solutions for all its clients' needs.
The tradeshow industry is a far cry from the Israeli Air Force, where service is mandatory for every young woman, and from Desert Storm, where Calanit got her start, educating the people of Israel about civil defense.
When Calanit first visited Las Vegas, she fell in love with the tradeshow industry, and went on to attend and graduate from UNLV, with a degree emphasis in tradeshow and exhibition management.
She has been involved in UNLV's Mentor Program, which pairs professionals from the tradeshow industry with students, for a hands-on learning experience. At the same time, she worked for various shows at the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands Expo, with the ongoing mission of understanding every minute detail of this complex industry, admittedly, not an easy task in such a multifaceted milieu.
While many companies specialize in a specific aspect of the industry, Calanit was determined to-go above and beyond, and offer customized services, ranging literally from A to Z, utilizing top professionals to make sure each event would be the most unique experience, ever.
Calanit's energy, organizational skills and achievements have brought her a number of awards and accolades. While at UNLV, Calanit was given the Miller Freeman Award for her contributions to the tradeshow industry. A to Z
Event Solutions was the runner-up for the contract to manage the business center at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, Calanit, along with her company, are avid supporters of associations that work together for the betterment of the industry.
At 31 years old, Calanit has achieved what most people strive for their whole careers - success, resulting from hard .work and a drive for knowledge that runs hand in hand with power. She has made her dreams come true.
